Organic Wedding Decor
If you want to get back to nature, you can have all organic items for your wedding décor so that you do not have to use synthetic material and can have a more natural wedding.
Here are some tips on how you can incorporate organic wedding décor:
Bird seed
Most people are doing this now. Have the guests toss bird seed instead of rice. Many municipalities discourage tossing rice as it is not good for the birds. Bird seed, however, will not harm the birds at all. Bird seed can be put in little bags as you would with rice and is not harmful to anyone.Dried Flowers
Using dried flowers can be considered more organic than fresh. Actually, using silk flowers, although not made from natural materials, can be less harmful to the environment as you will not be picking living flowers. Your organic wedding décor should not contain any non organic items, but using silk flowers is better than real ones because you are allowing the natural flowers to live out their full lives.Table Centerpieces
Save some goldfish that would most likely be used to feed larger fish and put them in large goldfish bows that are used as centerpieces. You can put some pretty stones on the bottom of the goldfish bowls and fill them with water. You can even use organic natural food coloring to color the water. The fish will swim around and be part of the organic wedding décor, as well as a great conversation piece for your guests.Buffet instead of Dinner
Instead of a dinner, why not choose a vegetarian buffet filled with organic delights for your guests? Many of them have probably not had vegetarian fare so this will be the first time that they tried recipes made from tofu or other organic materials. This can be a great idea for your guests to "go organic" and for everyone to get back to nature as well as respect the nature that we already have.Beeswax Candles
Be sure that any candles used in the organic wedding décor are 100 percent beeswax and organic materials. Many candles today are made from synthetic materials. If you want to have a completely natural wedding, you should use completely natural candles that are made from beeswax. These may cost a bit more, but you will be saving the environment.Setting
Be sure to have your organic wedding in a setting that goes along with the organic wedding décor. You can have it at a park or a conservatory, as long as they are willing to host your ceremony.Gift Basket
Instead of getting gifts for your organic wedding, why not have everyone make a contribution to a cause that is dear to your heart such as saving the rainforest or preservation of a certain type of species that are near extinction. This way, not only can people enjoy your wedding celebration, but they can be contributing to a good cause as well.Having an organic wedding can be fun and will bring everyone back to basics. You will have a good time organizing the wedding and can use your imagination to come up with even more organic wedding décor.
